Until further notice Branch Meetings will be held at the Railway Hotel, Faversham.
 
Meetings will be on Tuesdays and start at 19:00 hours.
 
The meetings will be held in private, in the restaurant area of the hotel.
 
Meetings are approx. nine weeks apart and allow for meetings to be held on both shifts.
 
The next meeting will be on  Tuesday 14th August, 2007.
Special Branch Meeting held on 21st May, 2007.
 
Items discussed included:
 
  • National Organiser Nomination: Bro. Andy Reed nominated.

 

  • Centenary Badge: progress report: Badge design shown and alterations suggested, final proof to be presented to Branch Meeting on 12th June.
  • Badge prices set at £10 for the numbered badge and £5 for the plain badge.
  • Free numbered badges, 001,002 & 003,  to be given to Active Retired Members of the Branch, badge No. 082 to be sent to Head Office to be placed in the ASLEF museum, badge No. 100 to be presented to retired former Branch Secretary, Don Huntley. Also a free badge will be presented to District Secretary, Graham Morris.
  • Numbered badges will then be offered, for sale, to branch members in ASLEF seniority order as supplied by Head Office.

 

  • Centenary Celebrations: Profits from the sale of badges will be used to finance celebrations to be held later in the year. Suggestions for what to do will be discussed at the next Branch Meeting.

 

  • ASLEF Trustee Election: Faversham Branch voted for Bro. M. Colombini.
 
  • Rail Union Learning Rep: Bro. Andy Cooke has been nominated to take up this Branch position.
